1939.12.29: Enroute Malmö - Vaasa loaded with wheat Sovjet submarine SHCH-311 gunfired off Norrskär. When escaping submarine WILPAS grounded south of Norrskär. The crew of 18 abandoned the ship in two lifeboats. Sovjets gunfired lifeboats but the crew was able to row alive to Norrskärs lighthouse.
