1957.11.5: enroute Bayonne - Dakar exploded and immediately sank off Portugal west of Cabo Mondego in psn 40.33N 9.50W. Eight sailors were saved from a lifeboat after 13 hours by Turkish 4000 dwt cargo ship NEVSEHIR, proceeded to Ceuta. Three sailors were lost. Testified to be a drifting mine. The last Finnish ship mined after WWII. Another possibility: 1957.8: loaded at Hanko 20 tons general cargo for Savona. The cargo was Tampella mortar grenades and discharged at Tanger.
