1936.11.21: JOHANNA THORDÉN, homeport Brändö. Ab Finska Nordamerika Linjen (Gustaf B. Thordén) Brändön huvilakaupunki. Maiden voyage Kotka - Boston.
1937.1.12: JOHANNA THORDÉN, enroute Baltimore - New York - Göteborg loaded with cars, general cargo and copper in dark morning in good weather grounded Muckle Skerry, Pentland Firth. The ship broke in two, forepart drifted nw to Swona Island. Stern part sank where grounded. Onboard were 38 of crew and passengers (two women and two children) and only 8 crewmembers stayed alive.
1969: British deep sea diver Keith Jessop recovered the copper cargo.
