1953.11.15: AURA, enroute Archangel - Antwerp loaded with timber foundered off Cape Nemetskiy, Barents Sea. In storm engine room flooded and engines stopped. Master Holger Stjernvall and the crew of 21 men and 3 women were rescued by British trawler CAPE PALLISER/GZDW. The trawler left the abandoned Aura around 0200 on 16 Nov and took the crew to Vardö.
