Allies ordered ship to proceed to New York where arrived 28th July and anchored in Hudson river. August 22nd fire burned the midship. 1st officer Conrad Freese died and captain Albert Björklöf burned badly. 1942: ROSEMONT, Panamian flag. US Government captured. Pacific Ocean service. 1946.5.10 anchored at Hudson river.
