In the 1880's a fleet of hopper barges was ordered in order to assist in the Lower Ouse Improvement scheme. 1900.1.30: OUSE HOPPER No.1, Sir J. Jackson Ltd. London. 1917: KATHLEEN LILY, Bargate Steam Shipping Co. (F. A. Hobbs), Grimsby. Converted to cargo ship. 1917.3.29: The company had lost previous KATHLEEN LILY in mine destruction. 1921.12.13: KATHLEEN LILY, Wrecked off Helsinki on a voyage from Danzig to Helsinki with benzene cargo. Sold for repairing to Sandvikens Skeppsdocka & Mekaniska Verkstad, Hietalahti, Helsinki.
1924.5.22: LILY, Rederiaktiebolaget Lily, owners Gustaf Mickelsson, Helsinki (Nielsen & Thorden). In Finnish register ship's name LILLY, company name rederiaktiebolaget Lilly. 1925: Company sold to Henry Georg Nielsen.
1925.12.22: LILY, in the command of Mickelsson grounded at Öland on a voyage from Danzig to Helsingfors with 280t sugar and 300 litres spirit. 1925.12.27: refloated 1925.12.28: LILY, sank while towed by POSEIDON to Oskarshamn in position N 57° 5' 4,68", E 17° 7' 28,47". Spirit cargo was rescued.
