1960 kolarista

Newspaper The Lowell Sun:

Finnish and British freighters collided Friday night in the Detroit River,
the boundary between Canada and the United States. The Coast Guard
said there were no casualties.
The motor vessel Maria, owned by Finland's Nordlake Line, received
a 30-foot gash amidships. It went aground in about 18 feet of water,
the Coast Guard said. The 580-foot Alexander T. Wood, registered out
of London, anchored on the Canadian side of the river with a gash about
15 feet long on her port bow.
