Vasa Rederi
Wiik & Höglund Oy, capt. Felix Lundberg and commercial counsellor Gunnar Ericksson founded Ab Vasa Rederi Oy in 1939 in Vaasa.
The first ship ss SOLBRITT was acquired at the same year and it served the company until 1953 when sold to Mariehamn.
The second steamship was ÖSTERBOTTEN, trading for the company until 1963 when sold to Greece.
Gunnar Ericksson "signed off" of the Vasa Rederi during 1950's. Wiik & Höglund Oy acquired 1959 the shares of Oy Nautic from Åbo. The company owned at the time steamer DORINE.
From Sweden Wiik & Höglund Oy purchased the first motorship ms WASALAND 1961 and for Vasa Rederi the sistership KORSHAMN from the same Swedish company 1964. The previous year was purchased steamship TOTTESUND from Denmark.
Oy Nautic and Ab Vasa Rederi amalgamated 1964 and later this company with Wiik & Höglund Oy. All the ships were sold out during the next years.
Emil Höglund owned the majority of Korpo Rederi Ab. Also he owned 90% of the shares of Oy Keppo Ab that owned the reefer KEPPO
Wiik & Höglund Oy was founded during 1930's. The company amalgamated 1984 with Oy Keppo Ab and the name was changed KWH-yhtymä Oy
