Many thanks to Bob for his comment and interest in the Äänimeri. My opinion is that the ship in the photos No. five and six is the one and same ORION. It can be misleading that the gangway in no 5 photo is in horizontal position but not turned in and therefore barely visible. The original Finland Steamship Company type high ventilator tops have later been replaced by smaller, more conventional tops. In the Äänimeri photos of Orion you can recognize these two types. The vessels Orion and Sirius are sister ships to m/s Prins Alexander and Prins Johan Willem Friso, but there are a number of differences in the masts and posts, superstructure etc. I may specify these if of any interest.

The fifth picture from the left is probably not "Orion" built by Merwede Yard Hardinxveld in 1950 (nr. 520). Compare the details of the superstructure with the sixth picture from the left. The latter ship shows all the details in accordance with the 4000 tdw ships of Merwede based type "Prins Alexander'/ "Prins Johan Willem Friso" designed and buitl for Oranje Lijn at Rotterdam. Merwede also built sistership "Sirius" (nr. 517) in 1949.

Matruusi Esko Roininen, vasenlaita, sininen t-paita.
